Alec Baldwin 'unaware gun had live rounds' when woman shot and killed on movie set

Alec Baldwin was unaware that the prop gun which killed one and seriously injured another on the set of his new movie Rust contained live rounds, according to reports.

On Thursday, Santa Fe authorities confirmed that it was the 63-year-old actor who fired the stunt gun.Alec is said to have cocked and fired the gun on set of the Western movie, shooting the film’s director and cinematographer.

Rust's Director of Photography Halyna Hutchins was airlifted from the set after being hit in the stomach at the Bonanza Creek Ranch.

The 42-year-old was rushed to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, but later died.Director Joel Souza, 48, was also shot according to the Santa Fe County sheriff.
