A ‘vulnerable’ group using an athletics ground were threatened by youths brandishing a gun, prompting new security measures.
The incident, which was dealt with ‘swiftly and professionally’ by police, has prompted Bury Athletic Club to plan a new 1.85 metre fence around their facilities on Market Street.
