After his first day, Alex met his mum before they headed towards Clayton Lane South in Openshaw. Alex, who is registered blind and has myopic brain disorder, goes that way as it allows him to avoid the noise of the main roads.He got a taxi that morning to avoid being late to college - so had no idea what he'd run into walking home.Alex and his mum discovered the stretch was ‘covered’ in dumped rubbish - including sofas, mattresses, door frames and black bin bags.It made it it difficult for Alex and his mum to safely get through.Alex’s dad Bobby shared a video of the 'dumping ground' on.
