Wishaw care home residents enjoy fish suppers thanks to kind-hearted schoolgirl

Residents at a Wishaw care home tucked into a traditional Scottish takeaway after they received a special delivery from a kind-hearted schoolgirl.The pensioners and staff at Netherton Court Care Home were served up sausage and fish suppers courtesy of 12-year-old Skye Ralton.

The former pupil of nearby Netherton Primary spent weeks made and sold sparkling glitter glasses to raise the money to treat the residents and hard-working staff to the slap-up meal.The youngster had been discussing the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on people in care homes with her mum and decided she wanted to do something to cheer them up.Skye’s aunt had gifted her glitter for her birthday and that gave the schoolgirl the idea of using it to produce the glitter
