Brits jetting off to France this weekend could face further disruption as staff at several French airports go on strike. This is on top of the travel chaos experienced in the UK, with long queues reported at airports and some airlines cancelling flights.
Services from Charles de Gaulle in Paris and other French airports have been impacted. Airport workers are going on strike to demand salary increases to keep up with inflation.
Until now France’s airports have avoided the disruption seen in airports in the UK and in other European cities. But workers are striking for more pay on the first major day of France’s domestic summer travel season.
