President Trump on Monday approved an emergency declaration for Washington D.C., and ordered federal assistance to complement the local response ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration as fears of potential violence continue to loom following last week's deadly riot inside the U.S. Capitol.  Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser asked for the declaration order in a Sunday letter to Trump days after a mob stormed into the Capitol and violently clashed with authorities as lawmakers were certifying Biden's Electoral College victory. The declaration runs from Monday through Jan.

Former FBI Deputy Assistant Director Danny Coulson urged the Biden transition team to move next week's inauguration indoors in the wake of last week’s Capitol riot. Coulson told "Your World" Monday that "terrifying times" call for heightened security measures and urged the president-elect's team to consider hosting the Jan.

Sen. Fox News Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume is calling out big social media companies for banning President Trump's accounts based on what he says are "pure editorial judgments."  "These social media companies have a legal right to do this, but they should not then pose as open platforms entitled to legal protections from the legal risks faced by publishers," he wrote in a tweet Friday night.  The tweet was in response to Twitter's announcement that it would permanently suspend the president's account following a violent riot by Trump loyalists at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Voters were "lied to" leading up to the riots that engulfed the Capitol in chaos and resulted in several deaths, Rep. Dan Crenshaw told FOX News on Thursday.

Snapchat has locked President Trump’s account in the wake of the rioting that engulfed the Capitol on Wednesday. "We can confirm that earlier on Wednesday we locked President Trump's Snapchat account," a Snap spokesperson told Fox News, via email.

A 7-foot "nonscalable" fence is being erected around the perimeter of the U.S. Capitol complex less than 24-hours after rioters stormed into the building and disrupted the peaceful transfer of power, Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy said during a press conference Thursday.  The fence will remain around the complex for at least 30 days, which means it will be in place through the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on Jan.
