Tributes to Scots man with 'heart of gold' after sudden death in suspected fit

Coatbridge on Thursday July 1 leaving devastated loved ones heartbroken. A post mortem is to be carried out at the end of the month but it is thought Martin, who suffered from epilepsy, may have taken a fit.

The 38-year-old was a massive football fan and supported Celtic, as well as being "fond of" Albion Rovers.He was described as a "smashing guy" as pals vowed to do everything they could to give him a sendoff "fit for a king".

Close friend Paul Lieser, 36, has organised a fundraising page to help Martin's two sisters and brother with funeral costs. He told the Record: "Martin had a heart of gold."He looked out for everyone else and he would do you a favour in a heartbeat.
