Joe Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

‘Tiger King’ lands 34M viewers in first 10 days, surpassing ‘Stranger Things 2’

Netflix’s massively popular docuseries “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” drew 34.3 million unique viewers in the first 10 days of its release, from March 20-29, according to Nielsen, eclipsing the season 2 numbers for “Stranger Things,” which drew 31.2 million in its first 10 days. “Tiger King” approached the numbers for “Stranger Things 3,” which drew 36.3 million over the 10-day span, Nielsen said.

Over its premiere weekend, March 20 to 23, “Tiger King” brought in an average minute audience of nearly 2.4 million U.S. TV viewers.

Over the 10-day period, “Tiger King” pulled in an audience of 19 million among U.S. viewers on an average-per-minute basis. That was higher than “Stranger Things 2” with 17.5 million and nearly matched
