Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King Joe Exotic compares romance with new fiancé he met in prison to Twilight film

Tiger King star Joe Exotic has found a new love interest in prison and has compared their romance to the iconic teenage vampire film Twilight, according to reports.

The media personality, who rose to fame in the hit Netflix series Tiger King, is currently serving 22 years in prison in North Carolina on charges of animal abuse and attempted murder for hire after he plotted to kill rival Carole Baskin.

But Joe’s incarceration hasn’t stopped him finding love and even popping the question to a fellow inmate, with TMZ reporting that he is now engaged to new man John Graham.It’s claimed that Joe, 59, discussed his new love interest in a letter sent to his attorney, where he explained that he met his new fiancé, who he describes as “extremely romantic and caring”, after they were both housed in the same prison unit.Exotic writes that the pair send letters to each other daily and speak on the phone three times a day, adding that he wants to get married to John “right away” after his divorce is finalised.The Netflix star describes John very differently to his estranged husband, 25-year-old Dillon Passage, who he reportedly filed for divorce from last month and who he accuses of being “selfish, younger, all about a party and wanting to be famous”.
