Three quarters of Scots would support second lockdown if coronavirus cases spike again

coronavirus were to spike in the near future. A study conducted by YouGov found that 51 per cent of the country would strongly support restrictions on movement if cases of Covid-19 were to sky rocket.

And a further 25 per cent would 'somewhat' support it.Only eight per cent of people said they would 'somewhat oppose' a new lockdown and another eight per cent would 'strongly oppose' the move.

Pollsters spoke to more than 4,000 people across the UK for their thoughts on a second lockdown. The findings come just days after an outbreak of Covid-19 at a call centre near Bellshill in North Lanarkshire over the weekend.
