The Foo Fighters brought some of the biggest hits to the MTV VMAs stage! The Dave Grohl-fronted group accepted the MTV Global Icon Award and performed some of their fan-favorite songs at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (September 12) at the Barclays Center in New York City. Click inside to see the video… The band was introduced by Billie Eilish as one “an entire generation of music fans grew up with” before they launched into their 1999 hit, “Learn to Fly.” They then played “Shame Shame” before finishing up with their 1997 single “Everlong.” “We’ve been a band for 26 years, so it feels pretty good,” Dave said while accepting the show’s first ever Global Icon Award.
