Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

The FADER has, like everyone else, spent almost exactly two years talking through glitchy video calls. We’ve never been in the same room at the same time; we often communicate through indecipherable memes.

We’ve learned to share, defend, and argue about music from vast distances. And starting today, we’re going to be doing that in public, for everyone to hear, on Amp, a new live radio app from Amazon, launching in the U.S.

in beta for iOS today. We’ll be going live for the first time this afternoon, at 5 p.m. EST, with a live version of Songs You Need in Your Life This Week, hosted by Salvatore Maicki.

To tune in, click here to download Amp from the App Store (U.S. only). Use the code FADERONAMP when prompted. Once you’re inside Amp, you’ll be free to set reminders for upcoming shows, so make sure to swipe through for everything else The FADER has coming this week.
