SPFL could follow Dutch football in taking steps to split the transfer window after FIFA green-lighted a novel move. The traditional summer market opened this for Scottish clubs and run continue until September 1.But that could put Scottish clubs risk of losing players to nations who've pushed their transfer window back in order to complete domestic campaigns.
World football's governing body will grant an extension of the traditional 12 week window to competitions such as the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A, who are playing on until the end of July and the start of August, which means their transfer window wouldn't close until as late as October.
