THE Chase fans have been spooked after they saw a 'ghost' standing between contestants on the show - did you spot it? Thursday's episode of the ITV quiz show was a repeat and saw four contestants take on a Chaser.

While first contestant Ollie made it back to his seat with £5,000, second contestant Lisa wasn't so lucky and was caught. Next up was Kelly and as she started her Cash Builder round, the camera panned to the desk where Ollie and final player William were sitting.

But eagle-eyed viewers got a shock when they saw a ghostly face hovering over Kelly's empty chair. One person who clocked it was Olympian-turned-presenter Sam Quek, who tweeted a screenshot and a zoomed in image and wrote: "Anyone else spot the ghost on #TheChase tonight?!" One of her followers found a tweet by actor Will Mellor from when the episode first aired in 2021 where he tweeted: "There’s a ghost on The Chase! !!!
