Tenerife 'murder' probe as 'convicted criminal' who left Lancashire 'stabbed to death while trying to steal drugs'

Andrew Walch, originally from Preston, was initially believed to have been the victim of a burglary at an apartment at the Island Village near Playa de las Americas.

But today, it emerged the 31-year-old convicted criminal has been identified by detectives as the knifeman who went to the property where he was stabbed with two accomplices “looking to steal drugs or cash".

The revelation emerged after five suspects - including three Brits - appeared in court over the killing. British bar worker Jimmi Nicol has been remanded in custody on suspicion
