Tayside Police renews calls for witnesses following series of high-value break-ins

Tayside Police has renewed calls for witnesses to come forward with information following a number of high-value break-ins which took place in the area earlier this month.

At present, officers have received nine reports of housebreakings in Perth and Bankfoot, as well as Dundee, Forfar, Carnoustie and Arbroath, between Saturday, December 4 and Monday, December 13.

On each occasion, a number of men broke into the homes and stole a significant quantity of high-value items, including jewellery and cash.The incidents are being treated as linked.Tayside Division has allocated a dedicated enquiry team to carry out extensive enquiries into these break-ins and they are liaising with colleagues dealing with similar housebreakings nationally.
