Tax Credits. HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have updated online guidance advising people on eligibility, when they can expect to receive it and how the payment will impact on other benefits they are currently claiming.

HMRC states that if you are part of a working household that receives Tax Credits, you may be eligible for the one-off payment of £500, which is being introduced to provide extra support when the temporary increase in Working Tax Credit ends as planned on April 5, 2021.

If you are eligible, HMRC says you should get your payment directly into your bank account by April 23, 2021 and that you will not see the payment on the online Tax Credit service.
