Sophie Turner has broken her silence on her divorce from Joe Jonas as she hits out at ‘speculative narratives.’ Singer Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner have ended their marriage after four years together as Joe filed divorce papers on Tuesday 5 September.

In a joint statement posted on Sophie’s Instagram page, the Game of Thrones asked for privacy.The statement read: “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children." Jonas Brothers singer Joe, 34, and actress Sophie, 27, tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019 after meeting in 2016, and have gone on to welcome two daughters together.

They share three year old Willa and their one year old, whose name the couple haven’t confirmed, but she is listed as “D.J.” in the court documents.

The Jonas Brothers singer stated that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken”, according to E! News . Joe has also reportedly asked for “shared parental responsibility” over their two daughters, and said a “parenting plan should be established”.The news of their separation has led to speculation about the reason they decided to split, with TMZ alleging that the pair have "very different lifestyles." A source told the publication: "She likes to party, he likes to stay at home.They have very different lifestyles." The paper also claims that the divorce papers state that their two children have been residing with Joe over the last three months.
