Edinburgh woman who bravely battled cystic fibrosis has paid tribute to his sibling who could ‘light up a room’ with her infectious smile.
Katie Jefferson passed away at the Western General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon with her loving family and the devoted nursing staff by her side.
The 24-year-old was first diagnosed with the life-limiting condition when she was just a few weeks old after struggling to breathe and put on any weight.
Over the years, Katie kept relatively good health and became the face of a CF charity - The Butterfly Trust - but began suffering from recurring chest infections when she turned 19.
