Scottish Government announces 48 new coronavirus deaths amid 895 new cases

coronavirus deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours across Scotland.A total of 895 new cases of the virus were also recorded overnight, taking the total since the start of the pandemic in March to 185,208.Currently, there are 1,729 people in hospital being treated for Covid-19, while 117 people remain in intensive care unit.Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 6,431 people in Scotlabd have died of the virus after returning a positive test.The news comes after ten residents at a Fife care home tragically died after testing positive for coronavirus.A cluster of cases has been identified at Mossview Care Home in Lochgelly which has resulted in a further 25 residents catching Covid-19.Health chiefs confirmed that a further 43.
