Scots pickup truck driver hunted after hit-and-run leaves two men injured

driver after a hit-and-run that left two cyclists injured in Dumfriesshire. The men, aged 44 and 53, were hit by a silver Ford ranger towing a trailer on the A7 Edinburgh to Carlisle road near to Brier Hill in the village of Ewes.

The pair were knocked off their bikes and suffered injuries. The Ford Ranger driver did not stop to assist.They had been cycling with a group of six other cyclists on the southbound carriageway at the time of the collision.Police confirmed that those injured were treated at the scene.The nature of their injuries was not disclosed.Officers 'need to speak to the driver' of the pickup truck and stressed that they might have not realised that they hit the cyclists.Witnesses and those with dash-cam footage of the area.
