Scots pensioner with penicillin allergy 'died in agony' after nurses gave him seven doses

A great-grandfather died in agony after being given seven doses of medication hospital staff had been told he was allergic to.

Five different nurses administered penicillin to Eddie McCluskey which caused his whole body to break-out in a painful rash which resembled third degree burns, his family say.Health board leaders have always insisted no-one made the link between his medication and the skin condition.
