newborn hat as a sleeping bag. Abbie-Beth Miller was born by emergency C-section 12-weeks early after her mum Stacey's placenta abrupted when she was just 28 weeks pregnant.

The youngster was so small that she could fit inside the newborn hat Stacey and dad Craig had bought for her. Stacey, 34, began having difficulties in her pregnancy at the 14-week mark when she had some spot bleeding.

Scans showed the mum-of-three's placenta has torn and was causing some minor bleeding. Doctors at Ayrshire Maternity Unit advised the Newmilns couple that they hoped the placenta would be able to go the distance and decided to monitor her with weekly scans.
