holidaymakers may have to wear face coverings on Spanish beaches when international travel eventually resumes later this year.
The Spanish Government yesterday published law that makes the wearing of masks mandatory in all outdoor public spaces - including swimming pools and beaches.Previously, the law allowed for Spaniards to keep their mask off if there was a ‘safe distance’ of 1.5 metres between others.
But Spanish newspaper El País, is reporting that the wearing of face coverings will now apply in all circumstances outdoors.
The new rules will apply to anyone aged six and over, while there will be exemptions for those with certain medical conditions.
