Seven-year-old Steven McGhee's naughty wee pal, who he named 'Elf', drew freckles, a beard, a moustache and eyebrows onto his face as he slept - but in the morning the schoolboy was unable to wash it off.

His mortified mum, Lynsey Lawrie, who had been boasting on her family group chat about 'the Elf's' prank, was forced to send the youngster to school with the inkings still etched on his face.

The 39-year-old even took pictures of 'Elf's' handiwork, showing sleeping Steven covered in drawn-on facial hair while the naughty elf sits on the bed’s headboard holding a crayon from the youngster's school bag.The mum of three says.
