The only B&Q store open in Scotland was doing a roaring trade yesterday as forecasters predicted a glorious week of weather.The queues grew outside the DIY giant’s branch in Paisley as the Met Office said the country is in line for “wall-to-wall” sunshine, thanks to high pressure over Norway.B&Q had been in total lockdown across the UK but reopened 14 ­warehouses as a “trial” last week.Despite Government instructions that people should only leave home to buy essential items, B&Q was busy selling plants and barbeque charcoal yesterday.Rival garden centres have shut since March 23 so pressure will build for them to reopen as a result of the B&Q experiment.
