Scotland on flood alert once again as forecasters warn of more thunderstorms

weather warning for thunderstorms in Scotland as the wet spell continues. A Met Office warning is in place for much of southern and eastern Scotland from midday to 9pm tomorrow.

It is predicted that as much as 80mm of rain could land in areas such as Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dumfries and Galloway, Edinburgh and Glasgow over the nine hour spell.

Heavy showers, lightning and even hail could bring chaos to the roads, with some road closures and difficult driving conditions expected.There could also be cancellations or delays on a number of public transport services throughout the day.More flash flooding is also anticipated to hit Scotland tomorrow and forecasters have urged businesses and home owners to be on alert.The Scottish Environment.
