A technical issue is affecting its online banking and the firm is working to resolve the matter. In a statement, Santander said: "We're aware of a technical issue affecting our services and we're doing all we can to resolve the matter as soon as possible. "We’re very sorry for any inconvenience and would urge customers to continue to check here for updates." When users attempt to open the banking app, they're met with an error message, saying: "Oops!

Sorry, something went wrong." People responded to Santander's apology calling for an estimate of when the issue would be fixed.
