Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode will have to wait to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after organisers pulled their spring celebration in light of the coronavirus crisis.

The Doobie Brothers had also been due to be honoured at Cleveland, Ohio’s Public Hall on 2 May, alongside the late Whitney Houston, The Notorious B.I.G., and T-Rex. “We are very disappointed to announce the postponement of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony,” Hall of Fame President Joel Peresman shares in a statement. “Our first concern is to the health and safety of our attendees and artists and we are complying to the direction of the local and state authorities and common sense.
