"Johnson said pressure would mount on the chancellor to maintain the £20 a week increase, even though it would cost the Treasury £6 billion a year.He added: “ Whatever the case for cutting generosity into the longer term, if you’re going to do so the case for doing it gradually rather than all at once looks unanswerable.”Sunak.
