RHOC star Tanya Bardsley on her ADHD misdiagnosis: 'My brain felt like glue'

Tanya Bardsley has candidly opened up on how her "brain felt like glue" as she was misdiagnosed before discovering she had ADHD.The 41 year old diagnosed with ADHD just before she 40, having been treated for depression and anxiety up until that point.

ADHD is a condition that can create feelings of restlessness, inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsivity. According to the NHS, people with ADHD can have additional problems such as sleep and anxiety disorders.

Former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya has now opened up on what it’s been like going through life taking medication for the wrong condition and how that has impacted her.

She exclusively told OK!: "I’ve had a couple of breakdowns, which have been aired on Housewives and that’s why I had to leave, because my mental health was not in great shape. "Because I was treated for anxiety and depression all my life and then I got diagnosed with ADHD just before I was 40, I’ve not had a great journey with mental health." Tanya continued to explain how her brain felt like it was "covered in black film, like glue" and how she has to work hard every day to keep her mind positive.
