Today, NBC News announced that the Louisiana rapper, Christopher Dooley, also known as Hurricane Chris, was charged with second-degree murder for the shooting that took place in Shreveport, Louisiana, this past Friday. Local police confirmed to Variety that the rapper was apprehended and charged with one count of second-degree murder as well as another count of illegal possession of stolen items.

Hurricane Chris was arrested on June 19 for murder, according to our sister publication Variety. Corporal Public Information Officer Angie Whilhite confirmed to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that Shreveport, Louisiana detectives have “charged him with second degree murder and possession of stolen vehicle.” The victim’s identity has yet to be released.
