Rangers fans – are being used by police to hunt down supporters who caused the “barbaric” scenes at the George Square title party.
More than 30 of those caught on camera have already been charged – and the Record has learned how many of those helping the police are Gers supporters disgusted at the behaviour of their fellow fans.
Thousands of them ignored Scottish Government and police pleas by breaking Covid rules to gather on May 15 to celebrate Rangers being crowned champions for the first time in 10 years.
They caused £58,000 of damage to statues and memorial benches and left the square strewn with broken bottles and rubbish, while 47 cops were injured trying to restore order.One senior source said: “Many police officers were pursued.
