The work of an anonymous artist who has left colourful, heart-warming drawings and messages on slates in a Perthshire village, has received glowing praise from locals.
Villagers in Kirk Wynd, Abernethy, woke up recently to find the beautifully painted slates and other crafts left on their doorsteps – bringing messages of hope during COVID-19.One slate contains the message ‘Life is like a rainbow – you need both sun and rain to make the colours appear’, while another has the important ‘stay safe’ message.Almond and Earn ward councillor David Illingworth, who lives on the street himself, explained: “An anonymous person put these fantastic slates and other craft items outside neighbours’ houses in Kirk Wynd.“We woke recently to find our
