It means the ex-Scottish Government economic adviser’s two public board room roles earn her £130,512 a year.Rice – who was appointed chair of the Banking Standards Board on January 1, 2020 – is also a senior independent director of supermarket chain Sainsbury’s and is a non-executive director of North American Income Trust.
Her income from those roles is not known.Others enjoy highly lucrative boardroom roles for public bodies. The highest paid daily rate goes to Willie Watt, chair of Scotland’s new state-owned bank Scottish National Investment Bank.
