Clubs will be able to buy and sell players from June 9 to August 31, meaning the window will be open for 12 weeks. For the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, the transfer window closed on the eve of the Premier League season, with clubs arguing that shutting the window later made the start of the season more disruptive due to transfer speculation.
