A young man who died in a horror crash in Cheshire had not been wearing a seat belt, an inquest heard. Kieran John Bailey, 26, was driving his black BMW when it was involved in a collision with a white Nissan electric van in Middlewich.

The crash took place on King Street at around 6.08am on Sunday, January 24 this year, Cheshire Live reports. An inquest into Mr Bailey's death, which was held at Warrington Coroner's Court on Monday (December 6), heard he sustained a "severe head injury", which was consistent with not wearing a seat belt.
