Police manhunt launched after masked armed robber targets Glasgow petrol station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a masked thief threatened two members of staff with a weapon at a Glasgow petrol station.

The man entered the BP garage on Great Western Road in the city’s West End at around 2.55am on Saturday. The thief, who is described as white and around 5ft 8ins tall, pulled out a weapon and threatened two women who were working at the time.

He demanded they hand over cash before fleeing the scene in the direction of the city centre on Devonshire Terrace.The thug was wearing a black hat, a black face covering, sunglasses and gloves during the terrifying ordeal.He was also dressed in a black and white top, black trousers and was wearing white trainers.Investigators are now urging anyone who may have seen the man.
