direct to your inboxPolice are investigating a shooting at a house in north Manchester which was initially mistaken for fireworks being set off.Officers were scrambled to Longton Road, in Blackley, at 5.20pm on Sunday (November 29).Emergency workers were responding to a report of “a firework aimed at an address”, but they later discovered evidence of “a firearms discharge”.An investigation has been launched.Nobody was injured during the incident and police say nobody has been arrested at this stage.Longton Road was cordoned off on Tuesday afternoon (December 2) - two days after the incident.Tactical Aid Unit vans, Crime Scene Investigation vans and police dogs were spotted at the scene.Police were in the area until around 5pm on Tuesday.A.
