Police cordon off Moston street with forensics at scene after 'disturbance'

Police cordoned off a street in Moston last night after a 'disturbance'. The incident happened on Edale Avenue just after 5.30pm, police said.

A large cordon was in place on a stretch of the road until around 8pm, with several police vehicle stationed at the scene. Police appeared to examine a black Vauxhall vehicle that was within the cordon. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police has now confirmed that officers were called to a report of a 'disturbance'.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, they added. A statement issued by the force last night said: "At around 5.35pm on Thursday 10/03/22, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Edale Avenue, Manchester. "Officers attended and investigations are ongoing." The Manchester Evening News has asked GMP for further details.
