Plans for 320 new homes in Trafford have been granted outline planning permission. The homes, new village centre and the relocation of a rugby club in Carrington were all granted outline permission last night (Thursday March 5), with just one councillor on Trafford Council's planning committee voting against them.

The outline permission means more detailed proposals for the site will need to be produced by developers and approved fully by the council at a later date.

The plans for the south side of Manchester Road have been put forward by developers HIMOR; they received eight objections from local residents.
