Perth and Kinross residents hoping to do a spot of decorating are facing a shortage of items. The likes of paint and other materials are flying off the shelves across the region as people look to busy themselves during the COVID-19 restrictions.

The issue was raised with the Perthshire Advertiser by one shopper who was hoping to paint over the autumn. Plan to make region the top family-friendly golf destination in the worldBut it proved harder than they thought as paint is taking longer to get to the region from Poland.

And Ewan Bannerman, of Bannerman’s Decorators on Dunkeld Road, confirmed the problem to the Perthshire Advertiser. He said a combination of people using the pandemic to do work at home and issues over Brexit had made it.
