Person reserves 42 seats at pub with fake booking in 'disgusting act'

Employees at The Black Ladd in Shaw were forced to turn away 47 customers on Tuesday after someone used fake information to book out seven tables.

The reservations, for six dinners, were made via the online booking service using fake information and contact details each time.

Staff at the Buckstones Road pub say this was purposely done to “disrupt the business financially”. Bosses have called it a “deliberate, disgusting act” which forced them to turn away paying customers who genuinely wanted to dine out.
