A person has been hit by a train on one of the busiest lines running into Glasgow. Scotrail announced that a person was struck between Paisley Gilmour Street in Renfrewshire and Glasgow Central on Friday morning The exact time of the incident was not disclosed, but Scotrail first notified social media followers of the tragic news at 6.22am.

Emergency services have been called to the scene.In order for crews to deal with the incident, all lines have been closed, although the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.A spokesperson from Scotrail said: "Sadly, we’ve had reports of a person being struck by a train between Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central."We've had to close all lines while we support the emergency
