Pensioner fighting for her life after being hit by recovery vehicle in horror crash on Scots road

Emergency services scrambled to Townhead Street in Hamilton after the horror crash happened at around 1.30pm on Monday, August 16.Ambulance crews attended and the 65-year-old woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.She suffered life threatening injuries.Police say their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.30pm on Monday, August 16, 2021, officers were called to a road crash on Townhead Street, Hamilton, where a 65-year-old woman had been struck by a recovery vehicle."She was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow suffering from life threatening injuries."Enquiries are continuing."Don't miss the latest news.
