My role, as I see it, is as a bridge. My life has been defined by bridges—crossing them, building them, and when necessary, acting as one.Growing up with my Korean immigrant parents, it felt like I was living simultaneously in the place where my parents came from and the place where we lived.
This feeling of being in two places at once was formative. I credit my childhood as a first generation American with my ability to see seemingly disparate things coming together. “I dreamed of stories about Asian and other ‘foreign’ cultures reaching a global audience.”As an agent and then partner at the talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor), being a bridge meant forging connections: between artists with incredible stories to tell and Hollywood, an industry that can be elusive to even the most promising voices.
