Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon plenty of reasons to be optimistic ahead of this weekend's Old Firm Derby. And none of them were more potent than the return to form of Odsonne Edouard.

The French talisman has suffered from a stop-start season so far.There have been highlights - his strike against AC Milan and his wonderful penalty against Hearts to name a couple - but his performances have dipped along with the rest of his team-mates.Ahead of Wednesday's 3-0 victory, one stat told the story of his struggles better than no other.

Incredibly, his last domestic goal from open play came all the way back on the opening game of the season, when he scored a hat-trick as Celtic hit Hamilton for five.
