A volunteer from Blair Drummond Safari Park is being flooded with well wishes as she concentrates on her other life as an NHS nurse.Laura Smith started volunteering at the park in October 2018 and since then has spent hundreds of hours helping the keepers in the park’s Pets Farm.But for the moment she is concentrating on her other role as a frontline NHS nurse in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.Blair Drummond’s marketing manager Liz Gunn said: “Laura has left the animals for a while to dedicate all her time and energy to keeping us safe.”“Her usual job is nursing so she is focused on that entirely at the moment.
