Man City made the trip to the St Mary's Stadium hoping to build off that emphatic win over champions Liverpool. But they left the South coast empty-handed following Che Adams' winner in the 16th minute, the former Birmingham City striker's first goal for the Saints.
The finish was quite something, a long-range effort that caught Ederson way off his line. But it came about following a mistake from Zinchenko, who gave the ball away in a precarious position.
And the Ukrainian has now apologised for the error on social media."Do apologize to all team and City fans.," he wrote on Instagram.
