Manchester Half Marathon organisers have revealed the race's new route for 2022, which will see runners take on the city centre for the first time ever.
The flat-route event will welcome some 15,000 athletes along its 13.1 mile course this autumn. As with previous years, the 2022 course will still start and finish near Old Trafford.
The route begins by heading up towards Deansgate, then turning and passing by Castlefield and along to Bridgewater Way. The run continues onto Chester Road for three miles, before leading onto Cross Street.
Runners will then turn a corner as they approach Sale, bringing along Broad Road and round, before continuing straight on for two miles.
